Chunky Knit Blanket Workshops
There’s something so special about spending a few hours creating something with your own hands — especially when you get to take home something cozy and beautiful that you made yourself.
At a Twisted Threads workshop, you don’t need any knitting or crafting experience at all. I’ll guide you through the entire process step by step. We use a simple finger-knitting technique, so you don’t need needles, hooks, or any prior skills — just your hands, soft chunky yarn, and a little creativity.
You choose the yarn color you like most, get set up at your seat, and then we’ll work together from there. I walk around and individually instruct each person, making sure you feel comfortable and confident every step of the way. Whether you need help getting started or want to perfect your stitches, I’m right there to guide you.
By the end of class, you’ll leave with a finished blanket that’s completely your own. Workshops are relaxed, social, and full of laughter — a cozy escape from the everyday. Most people are surprised by how easy and fun it is, and how quickly the time flies once they get started!
What to Expect
Workshops typically last about two to three hours, depending on the blanket size. Everything you need is provided — your yarn, step-by-step instruction, and hands-on support throughout the process.
You’ll be seated at a table with plenty of space to work, surrounded by others who are learning right alongside you. It’s a friendly, no-pressure environment, and I’m there the whole time to help if you get stuck or want to adjust your blanket.
By the end of the class, you’ll leave with a cozy, full-size blanket — ready to curl up with that very night!
Where You’ll Find Us
Workshops are held throughout the Greater Lehigh Valley at some of my favorite local spots, including The House and Barn in Emmaus, Applejacks Country Store in Emmaus, All Aspects at the Barn in Bath, and Easton Candle Co. in Easton.
Each location has its own cozy atmosphere — from the rustic charm of The House and Barn to the warm, candle-lit feel of Easton Candle Co. Every workshop has its own vibe, but the goal is always the same: create, connect, and have fun.
