How it All Started
Hi, I’m Stephanie — the hands and heart behind Twisted Threads. This all started when I took a chunky knit blanket workshop with my mom. I had never knitted or sewn before, but by the end of that class, I had a beautiful blanket that I made myself — and I was completely hooked.
There was something so rewarding about looking at what I created and thinking, “I made that.” I fell in love with the process, the product, and that cozy sense of accomplishment. That’s what inspired me to start Twisted Threads — to share that same feeling with others and help people discover how fun and fulfilling it can be to make something beautiful by hand.
Workshops
The workshops are really where the heart of Twisted Threads comes to life. They’re relaxed, creative, and just plain fun — no experience needed. All you need are your hands, soft chunky yarn, and a few hours to unwind, laugh, and create something you’ll be proud of.
I host workshops throughout the Greater Lehigh Valley at some of my favorite local spots, including The House and Barn in Emmaus, Applejacks Country Store in Whitehall, All Aspects at the Barn in Bath, and Easton Candle Co. in Easton. Each one has its own cozy vibe, and no two workshops are ever the same. People always surprise themselves with what they can do — and that’s my favorite part.
Custom Blankets
If you’d rather skip the making and go straight to the cozy part, I also create custom chunky knit blankets that are available locally at Skinterest Spa in Easton and Applejacks Country Store in Whitehall. Each one is handmade with soft, high-quality yarn and a lot of care.
I love working with people to design a blanket that’s perfect for them — whether it’s choosing the right colors for their home, creating a one-of-a-kind gift, or designing something special for their organization or fundraiser. From bold flag blankets to soft ombrés and school-spirit designs, every blanket is made to be both beautiful and meaningful.
